Copart : CashforCars.com & Copart Direct Raise $18,250 For Hurricane Harvey Victims

DALLAS (December 7, 2017) - Copart, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPRT), a global online vehicle auction company, is announcing that its brands, CashforCars.com and Copart Direct, have recently raised $18,250 for The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

In response to the hurricane that hit the Houston, Texas, area in late August, CashforCars.com and Copart Direct pledged a charitable donation for every car purchased between September 18 and October 17, 2017.

'As soon as we saw the devastation that Hurricane Harvey had wrought on Houston and the surrounding areas of Texas, the staff at CashforCars.com wanted to do our part to help those whose lives were disrupted,' said David Sutkin, Director of Copart Direct.

Donations to The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, housed at the Greater Houston Community Foundation, will help improve the future of communities in and around Houston by focusing on immediate and long-term assistance to victims of the hurricane.

'We're a nationwide company with locations across the entire country, so when a storm affects Texas as intensely as Harvey did, it affects all of us,' said Sutkin. 'The residents of Texas have always been great to our company, so it was our honor to reciprocate. We immediately began designating proceeds from every vehicle we purchased for an entire month following the storm. We're happy to now announce this donation to The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.'
