Countryside, one of the UK's leading home builders specialising in placemaking and regeneration, celebrated its spirit of partnership and collaboration by hosting a dragon boat race for all its partners and suppliers at Fairlop Waters in Redbridge - raising £10,275 for Essex-based charity SNAP. The funds will go to parents and carers of children with special needs and disabilities.

The event was attended by over 500 people from across Countryside's supply chain and recognised their loyalty, support and commitment to collaboration. The race was followed by a barbeque for those that raced and their families who cheered them on.

Graham Cherry, Chief Executive of Countryside Partnerships South, said: 'Today was not only a great opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors, but a chance to build greater bonds with our partners, and suppliers. We value every partnership and are truly overwhelmed by the response for this event. It is testament to our collaborative approach when it comes to working closely with our contractors, nurturing businesses, investing along the supply chain and providing a consistent workload. They play a crucial role in every home we build and we are very proud to have cultivated long-standing relationships with each of them.

'As an Essex based company, we were also delighted to have raised so much money for SNAP - a local charity so close to our hearts. The funds will go a long way in ensuring that parents and carers of children with special needs and disabilities, who do a fantastic job, are supported at every step.'
