Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) is proud to announce it has achieved Partner-level performance classification in John Deere's Achieving Excellence Program.

The program focuses on building strong relationships with suppliers who work to add value to John Deere products and services. Cummins was evaluated on its ability to perform in the areas of quality, delivery, cost management, technical support and business relationship building. Cummins achieved Partner-level classification, the highest rating, which recognizes a supplier who goes above and beyond John Deere's performance standards, reaches world-class levels and has a measurable effect on John Deere's level of customer satisfaction.

With a business relationship spanning more than 30 years, Cummins supplies its X15 engines for the top two ratings in John Deere's 9R, 9RX and 9RT Series tractors. Engines are manufactured at Cummins' largest heavy-duty diesel production facility, Jamestown Engine Plant (JEP), New York.

Anna Dibble, Cummins' Jamestown Engine Plant Manager says, 'We are thrilled to have received such a prestigious award from one of the world's most iconic agriculture brands. Our employees at Jamestown Engine Plant are committed to exceeding John Deere's expectations, as well as those of farmers worldwide. Being awarded the highest supplier rating in their Achieving Excellence Program is testament to that.'

Cummins representatives Jim Branner, Account Executive and Shawn Hricko, JEP Operations Director accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies in Davenport, Iowa.

Cummins' X15 engines incorporate XPI extreme pressure fuel injection for cleaner combustion and optimized engine response, while meeting the latest EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emission regulations. Combined with Cummins-owned Holset VGT variable geometry turbocharging and customized control technology, the X15 delivers robust performance with the power bulge and torque back up required for heavy duty operation.
