Mannheim - High-ranking EU politicians have been learning first-hand about the Mercedes-Benz eActros and eCitaro in Mannheim, Germany as part of a congress of the German Federal Ministry for Transport and Digital Infrastructure. Mannheim is the birthplace of the eCitaro and it is also here where the first fully-electric, series-production urban buses will be delivered to customer Rhein-Neckar Verkehr GmbH (RNV). Last week also saw the practical trials of the eActros kick off in Mannheim: TBS Transportbeton will be putting the fully-electric truck through its paces for a whole year, during which it will be used for the transportation of fly ash between the coal-fired power station and the cement mixing facility at the town's port.
