CORPORATE NEWS   Daldrup & Söhne AG receives order from Swiss company Nagra for deep drilling - Nagra seeks suitable location for nuclear repository in Switzerland - Project volume can amount to up to CHF 50 million over the next four years Grünwald / Ascheberg, August 23, 2018 - The drilling technology and geothermal specialist Daldrup & Söhne AG (ISIN DE0007830572) has been awarded a contract for deep drilling by Nagra, the national company for the storage of radioactive waste in Switzerland, through a tender procedure. The total project volume can amount to up to CHF 50 million and can extend over a period of four years. Nagra is looking for a suitable site for a deep geological repository for radioactive waste in Switzerland. Nagra has commissioned drilling to a depth of around 2,000 metres in order to examine the subsoil of the possible siting areas in detail. According to Nagra, these exploratory wells should allow a "comprehensible assessment of the long-term safety of a deep geological repository". Drilling is scheduled to begin in early 2019. CEO Josef Daldrup commented on the order from Switzerland: "We are pleased to be able to support Nagra with our drilling expertise in the coming years. We have also drilled numerous geological exploration wells for deposits in Germany. We will coordinate closely with our client on the legitimate interests of the public regarding the deep drilling."
