Delmarva Power & Light Company (DPL) is engaged in the transmission, distribution and default supply of electricity in Delaware and portions of Maryland. The default electricity supply is the supply of electricity at regulated rates to retail customers in its service territories who do not elect to purchase electricity from a competitive supplier. The Company also owns pipelines and other equipment for the distribution and supply of natural gas. In northern Delaware, DPL also supplies and delivers natural gas to retail customers and provides transportation-only services to retail customers that purchase natural gas from another supplier. DPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Connective which is wholly owned by Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI), a holding company which is engaged primarily in the transmission, distribution and default supply of electricity as well as the distribution and supply of natural gas.
