Delta today launched a new policy-oriented website aimed at demonstrating what makes Delta a great airline, employer and partner to policymakers and elected officials in Washington, D.C.

DeltaTakingAction.com is a digital home for communicating Delta's positive role around the world and features Delta's state-level impact, innovation, customer experience and community engagement.

'Delta has made significant investments in innovation, technology, people and communities just to name a few,' said Heather Wingate, Delta's Senior Vice President - Government Affairs. 'We have also taken a strong position on policy issues such as the un-level playing field caused by heavily state subsidized competition from the Middle Eastern carriers. DeltaTakingaAction.com is a great resource for administration officials, members of Congress and Hill staffers to stay up to date on what Delta is doing in the policy world.'

A key feature of DeltaTakingAction.com is an interactive state map, which allows users see Delta's impact in every state, including jobs, number of daily flights, seats flown per day, non-stop destinations and other key data that will be updated on a regular basis. In addition, the site will include news from Delta News Hub, updates on Delta's policy positions and highlights of the airline's investments in communities.

'Delta has long been an economic engine for our economy,' said Wingate. 'DeltaTakingAction.com will showcase just how important Delta is for American jobs and the impact we have on communities across the country.'

DeltaTakingAction.com was formally launched in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 25, with a reception for members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill.
