A new high-rise quarter is currently under construction in the center of Frankfurt. Together with BayernLB, pbb has provided financing for one of the four towers in the FOUR Frankfurt project. Both banks are providing equal parts of a three-digit million sum to finance the T3. pbb acts as lead arranger and agent. The mezzanine financing is provided by a German pension fund whose participation is managed by Collineo Asset Management. More than 20 financing partners with different structures are providing more than one billion euros for the construction of the entire quarter.

FOUR Frankfurt is a high-rise quarter in the heart of Frankfurt's city center that is unique in Europe. According to a design by the Amsterdam architects UNStudio, four new high-rise buildings are to be built on a multi-storey, multifunctional building foundation by 2023. The quarter offers living space for up to 1,000 people, includes a hotel, serviced apartments and around 4,000 office workplaces. The buildings will be completed successively between 2022 and 2024.

The 120 m high building (T3) on Junghofstrasse, financed by pbb and BayernLB, will house condominiums, a hotel, retail outlets and restaurants. The tenant of the hotel is the international boutique hotel brand Kimpton Hotel & Restaurants, which will open a 155-room building in 2023.

Gerhard Meitinger, Head of Real Estate Finance Germany said: 'We are very pleased to be involved in this great project. FOUR enriches Frankfurt not only architecturally. The areas between the buildings will be freely accessible and thus open up a previously self-contained area to the public.'
