The Disability Support Fund United Country together with the All-Russia Disabled People Society has summed up the results of the IX Festival of Social Websites World of Equal Opportunities. DIXY Group provided partner support to the event.

Annual Festival of Social Websites World of Equal Opportunities, organized by the Disability Support Fund United Country together with the All-Russia Disabled People Society, has been held for 9 years already. Its goal is to bring to light and encourage the most significant digital resources aimed at resolving various issues of integration of people with disabilities into the society.

This year, 474 applications from 48 regions of Russia were filed; moreover, some Russian-language websites from Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Moldova filed their applications, too. The most popular nominations were: "Discovery of the Year" (109 applications), "Life Goes On" (107 applications), and "We Can Do More Together" (71 applications). There were 9 nominations altogether that the festival participants could apply for. Children and adults with disabilities could take part in the contest and present their thematic projects. The organizers of the festival rewarded 27 websites. All winners and awardees were given diplomas and sets of sweets from Dixy retail chain.

This is not the first project of the kind for DIXY Group. In March, the company supported International Festival of Children's Auteur Animated Cartoons. DIXY Group has been regularly aiding children and children's institutions, implementing projects to help those having difficulties in life. In the framework of Caring Neighbourhoods programme, DIXY encouraged more than 20 projects aimed at giving children an incentive to participate in interest and sports clubs, as well as career days and educational events, summer camps, city tours, theatres, recreational activities. Within the scope of Products for Help programme realized by DIXY Group together with Rus Food Bank, the company gathers foodstuffs to help those with low-income and facing hard times.
