DKSH, Right To Play and Liverpool FC Foundation jointly invest in Thailand's youth

DKSH has expanded its 13-year long successful partnership with Right To Play. Together with Liverpool FC Foundation, the three partners are investing in the well-being of children, youth and communities in Thailand.

Zurich, Switzerland, February 11, 2020 - DKSH, Right To Play and Liverpool FC Foundation will collaborate in Asia. Together, the three organizations promote life skills, social cohesion and learning environments of children, young people and communities in Thailand. Particularly in Bangkok, there is a need for action to protect disadvantaged children.

Every year, Right To Play supports 2.3 million children and young people worldwide through the transformative power of play. Liverpool FC Foundation was established in 2010 and is the official charity of the world-renowned football club. The foundation uses the passion of fans and the unifying power of football to create life-changing opportunities for children and young people.

DKSH supports the program by establishing sport and play-based sessions, rehabilitating sports fields and organizing tournaments as well as voluntary initiatives. Through these activities, children will gain the critical life skills they need to take ownership of their lives, build resilience, and engage more meaningfully with their communities and society. The program targets 2,000 children and young people as well as 1,500 community members in Thailand. It focuses on three main areas of action:

  • Improving life skills
  • Increasing social cohesion
  • Creating child-friendly learning environments

Stefan P. Butz, CEO of DKSH, said: "As a company with over 150 years of history, sustainability is an essential part of our identity. I am pleased that we are now expanding our social engagement with Right To Play and the Liverpool FC Foundation in Asia."

Adrian T. Keller, Chairman of the Board of Directors, DKSH, added: "We are proud of our partnership with Right To Play that has been existing for over a decade. Together with the Liverpool FC Foundation, we will sustainably promote the skills of the young Thai population, facilitate their social integration and improve their future."
