Digital Academy for Effective and Efficient Online Learning

DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter called DMG MORI) will begin providing a new learning opportunity "Digital Academy" that offers high-quality education services by combining e-learning and practical training based on our abundant digital contents about machine tools and machining technologies; more than 600 movies or more than 100 articles about processing tips and customer story etc.

DMG MORI established the DMG MORI Academy in Japan, the U.S.A. and Germany, and has offered education and training on machine tools, aiming to help customers develop excellent machining engineers and support their smooth startup after new machine installation.

Previously, customers used to visit our Iga Campus in Mie Prefecture to take a training course of up to five days at the DMG MORI Academy. With Digital Academy, lectures are available through e-learning, enabling customers to shorten the period of on-site training by our experienced engineers to two days.

The e-learning system is easy to use, and you can start learning with only two clicks after log-in. You can view lectures repeatedly and ask questions by phone or e-mail as many times as you wish during your course period, making your learning effective and efficient.

To date, DMG MORI Academy has provided 11 training courses from programming, basic courses for beginners to advanced courses for integrated mill turn centers/5-axis machine operation. From June 30 onward, we will provide an e-learning course for Machining Basic, a 150-minute complete online course designed for those with little knowledge on cutting with machine tools, at a cost of 30,000 yen (excluding tax).

Additionally, we will release e-learning courses for Machining Center Basic and Turning Center Basic this fall.

The addition of Digital Academy allows customers to select their own learning style from three options: the conventional on-site training, combination of e-learning & on-site training, and e-learning only.

DMG MORI will further expand the lineup of e-learning courses to offer more effective and efficient learning contents to our customers.

The application for Digital Academy is possible on the free of charge customer portal "my DMG MORI" that enables customers to centrally manage their machine information.
