Germany will also be sending an artist to Berlin. The audience will decide for themselves which one it will be by voting on their favorite artist starting today at www.fol-awards.de/en. The three national finalists, Marin Petkov (PM Studio), Reinaldo Verde (Multiscalar) and Tina Zimmermann will present their work. The three national finalists were pre-selected by the artistic director of the festival. Additional artists from Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Scandinavian region will take part in the competition. One of the artists representing the Czech Republic, Christopher Noelle (meTOFA) and one of the artists representing Scandinavia, Tim Schmelzer (Lichttapete), both live in Austria. E.ON operates networks or offers solutions in all these countries. Of course, not only E.ON customers can vote, but everyone.

In the coming weeks, E.ON and the Festival of Lights will launch an online campaign on their social media channels to bring voters to the platform and hopefully reach millions of people in Germany and other European countries. The preliminary decisions will end on September 7th. The national winners will then be announced on E.ON's and the Festival of Lights website as well as on social media channels.

The regional winners will present their light shows at the Berlin TV Tower from October 5th to the 14th and compete for the E.ON Award. Here, too, an international audience will decide via Internet voting, about who will win the main prize for their country, endowed with 5,000 euros.

E.ON has been the main sponsor for years and is, for the first time, this year's exclusive presenter of the Berlin Festival of Lights. It is one of the most renowned light festivals worldwide.
