EBay : Stands with the LGBTQ+ Community and Its #DoSomethingBrave Spirit for Pride

This Pride Month, eBay celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ+) communities throughout the world. This moment is an opportunity to honor the courageous visionaries who never stopped pushing for equality and acceptance, and a reminder that there is always more to be done. To demonstrate its emphatic support of these efforts--and the people behind them--eBay is announcing several initiatives that put Pride, and the pursuit of diversity and inclusion, front and center.

#DoSomethingBrave:

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a pivotal moment in the evolution of LGBTQ+ rights. Taking inspiration from those who fought for equality, and the symbolism of the Stonewall Inn as a vibrant haven for the marginalized, eBay is dedicating the marketplace to the celebration of diversity. From showcasing the stories of LGBTQ+ small businesses owners and the eBay community, to encouraging a global conversation about struggle, empowerment and advocacy on social media with #DoSomethingBrave, eBay is demonstrating its commitment to the community and the Pride movement.

Exclusive Charity Auction Benefits GLAAD

From June 10 through June 15, eBay for Charity is hosting a Pride-centric auction to raise funds for GLAAD, an organization that advocates for LGBTQ+ rights and equality. The collection will feature one-of-a-kind items and experiences, including a signed pair of heels from Sarah Jessica Parker's own SJP line, and a coffee date with 'The Good Place' star Jameela Jamil. Shoppers can also bid on an exclusive trip to NYC World Pride to march alongside GLAAD on June 30 and attend the festivities at the Pride Main Stage event. All auction items will start at $0.50, $50, $500 or $5,000 to commemorate Stonewall, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to GLAAD.

eBay Stands Proud at International Pride

As Pride parades show their colors around the world over the coming months, eBay employees from global offices will join their LGBTQ+ friends, family and colleagues to march for love and acceptance. In San Francisco on Sunday, June 30, eBay's highly-anticipated float will lead the charge bearing a rainbow replica of the Stonewall Inn archway in a final homage to its historical significance.
