This announcement is made by Elec & Eltek International Company Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, collectively referred to as the "Group") pursuant to Rule 13.09 (2)(a) of the Rules ("Listing Rules") Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board (the "Board") of directors (the "Directors") of the Company wishes to inform shareholders of the Company (the "Shareholders") and potential investors that, subject to the finalisation of its unaudited consolidated financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2017 (the "Current Period"), the Group is expected to record a significant increase of not less than 250% in net profit attributable to owners of the Company for the Current Period, as compared to the six months ended 30 June 2016.

The major factors attributable to the increase in net profit attributable to owners of the Company in the Current Period include, inter alia, (i) the increased sales proportion of higher profit margin products arising from an adjustment in product mix allocation; (ii) the increased profit margin of laminates manufactured and sold by the Group, as compared to the corresponding period in 2016 and (iii) the absence of provision for impairment of the Group's plant and equipment in Yangzhou, as compared to provision for such impairment in the amount of US$5.0 million in the corresponding period in 2016.

The Group is currently in the process of preparing its unaudited consolidated financial results for the Current Period.
