Companies simultaneously managing projects in different locations can keep track of all their machinery and equipment, and increase their productivity, with the Global Equipment Management System (EGEM) developed by ENKA Systems.

ENKA Systems has been making it easier for companies using large pools of machinery and equipment to enjoy the benefits of its machinery and equipment management system EGEM ('Global Equipment Management System').

The company specialises in meeting the software needs of large companies operating at the global level, and simultaneously carrying out projects in different locations. EGEM has been specifically designed for the management of large machinery and equipment parks. With its web-based infrastructure and multiple language options, the software makes it possible to manage all machinery and equipment parks via single platform and on a 'mobile' basis. It reduces the costs of equipment during operations, extends their working life, monitors their fuel consumptions, prevents interruptions in ongoing services, protects worker safety and increases customer satisfaction - and it can now also be used in a Cloud-based version.

Available at www.egemcloud.com, the Cloud version of EGEM is ready for companies to use without any initial setting up. There is no need to acquire a software license or invest in a server. For the first month, the EGEM Cloud service is available for all users free of charge so that they can test the programme out and assess it. At the end of the first month, if the users are not satisfied with the EGEM Cloud service can stop using it without paying anything. Companies who want to go on using the service can do so by paying a monthly fee per user.

EGEM makes use of detailed equipment data to categorise all items of equipment, displays their current usage and locations and provides rapid and easy access to all kinds of information ranging from the equipment card, engine specifications and meter readings to the fixed asset value. Its rich report menu makes it possible to keep track of the entire machinery and equipment park and to increase its productivity by reducing losses of time, money and work. On the dashboard, meanwhile, critical and summary information such as preventive maintenance delays, transfers of equipment awaiting approval and upcoming inspections are shown, and operations can be monitored using personalised graphics.

Easy management from a single platform

EGEM can be used to generate reports based on records about the fuelling of items of equipment and the projects for which they have been used, including dates and workstations, throughout their working lives. Analysis of fuel consumption can be conducted on a month, weekly and daily basis. By ensuring that fuel consumption is monitored, equipment that exceeds the anticipated consumption values can be identified. EGEM also calculates the monthly amortisation of the equipment, based on its fixed asset value, and provides cost data based on kilometres and hours of use. From the cost menu, it is possible to list the costs associated with given items of machinery and equipment, such as fuel, labour, maintenance and fixed asset value, and to filter by cost category or project. In addition, EGEM determines the regular maintenance intervals of items of equipment, keeps a record of work orders and issues reminders of forthcoming maintenance requirements. The EGEM equipment schedule menu can be used to keep a tally of the equipment and so to obtain information about the dates and times at which it has been used, by which operators and for what activity.

Commenting on EGEM, ENKA Systems CEO Kenan Kılıçtepe said, 'EGEM is a programme that has been developed specifically for companies carrying out projects using large pools of equipment all around the world. It provides them with concrete advantages such as the detailed data on equipment which large companies operating at the global level require, and the standardisation of maintenance and repair processes and documents. We have filled a gap in this area by putting onto the market a product which is much more advanced than its counterparts in terms both of its capabilities and of its technological infrastructure. We expect that EGEM software will soon be in use all over the world.'
