The expert meeting, which was held in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, gathered all the key players in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This included high representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, European Economic and Social Committee, etc. In addition to their systematic support, they pointed out Croatia's progress in achieving the following goals: education and healthcare, labor market and generally regarding the economic growth. Further intensive work related to education and training was announced as well.

On the occasion, in the context of national responsibility for the implementation of global goals, Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Croatia Diana Helen Madunic presented Swedish approach and practices. Two panel discussions were held as well. Assistant Minister of the Regional Development and EU Funds Ana Odak, Assistant Minister of the Foreign and European Affairs Mario Horvatić, Assistant Minister of Environment and Energy Igor Čižmek, and the president of the Croatian Chamber of Economy's CSR Association Andreja Pavlović participated in an interactive panel discussion with the audience about the challenges of applying sustainable development goals in Croatia.

President of Ericsson Nikola Tesla Gordana Kovačević, president of the Institute of Public Administration Ivan Koprić, president of the Board at IN2 Katarina Šiber Makar, and professor Marko Delimar from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing discussed the digital revolution as one of the six areas of key importance for 2050 long-term sustainability. The conclusion of this discussion was that ICT is crucial for sustainable growth and development due to its influence on transformation processes in the society. In order to achieve prerequisites for its wider applications, it is necessary to work strategically on education as a fundamental value.

The key message conveyed at the gathering was that our generation is the first generation which can eradicate poverty and the last one which can stop climate change, and the main role in the achievement of these goals will be played by the sustainable development.
