FLYHT is looking for an analytical, detailed oriented Test Engineer to join our Enterprise team to perform functional and performance testing of FLYHT's pioneering cloud-based aircraft data services enterprise platform. Knowledge of aircraft flight and maintenance operations and aviation industry standards, such as ARINC specifications, would be an asset for this position. You will get the opportunity to work on testing enterprise applications that include relational and document-oriented databases, such as MySQL, MongoDB, web services interfaces making use of JSON/REST, SOAP and other transport methods, and testing of browser-based user interfaces in an Amazon Web Services platform.

Responsibilities
Review System, Hardware and Software Requirements to provide feedback and derive test cases and procedures.
Create test Plans, test cases and procedures for verification of requirements.
Develop test fixtures as required to support testing.
Identify, obtain quotes and submit for procurement of material, software applications, electronic devices, etc. to support testing.
Execute test plans, cases and procedures and document results in a test report.
Develop test scripts to support and automate testing.
Analyze test processes to identity and facilitate efficiency improvements.
Maintain compliance with AS9100 certification requirements
Position will involve working with the following:
Satellite Voice and Data Communication equipment, such as Iridium and Inmarsat systems.
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).
Imbedded software avionic devices.
Multiple aircraft systems and interfaces.
Cloud/Web-based Enterprise Applications
Qualifications
Experience working in a Test Management tools (e.g Xray, DOORS)
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of engineers, managers, executives, support staff, and customers
Experience with agile methodologies
Hands on experience with test automation
Experience with container technologies (Docker/Vagrant)
experience with managing workflow in Jira and related plug-ins
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Quick learner with ability to pick up new technologies/skills and business knowledge
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with exceptional communication skills required to interface with a highly engaged client group
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively
Knowledge of avionic software development guidelines (DO-178, DO-278)
Technical writing skills
Workflow management with Jira and its plugins
General understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance
Experience with end-to-end SDLC with Scrum
