This position is designed mainly to implement the FCC Group's Crime Prevention Model as Corporate Compliance Officer, combining this with his work in the Corporate Responsibility Division. His responsibilities include disseminating the prevention model, identifying risks, defining and monitoring the pertinent controls, and handling reports and investigations related to crimes and breaches of the Code of Ethics and Conduct received.
A compliance officer position will be created in each business, reporting hierarchically to the Board or an equivalent decision-making body of the business and functionally to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
Javier has spent much of his career in teaching, holding the position as director of Colegio Mayor San Pablo CEU for 10 years. Since 1998, he has been a full professor of Civil Law and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid, and since 2004, Head of Corporate Responsibility at the FCC Group. He has a degree in law and a doctorate cum laude in law from UCM de Madrid. He also took the advanced Corporate Responsibility Management program at IE Business School.
