GAZ : has developed Ural vehicles for public access roads

GAZ Group presents Ural road vehicles with 6x4 wheel arrangement. The first trial models of Ural vehicles with 6x4 wheel arrangement are exhibited at COMTRANS/17, Ural road dumper and Ural tractor unit are based on a single platform.

Single-drive road vehicles diversify the lineup of the Ural Automotive Plant and expand the opportunities for entering new markets. Today, the capacity of the Russian market of road vehicles, where Ural was not represented earlier, is about 20 thousand cars a year. The new line also has a high export potential.

The Ural road family is distinguished by high reliability of assemblies and units, productivity and fuel efficiency. These vehicles have a modern NEXT cabin, which provides ergonomics of the driver's seat, as well as a high level of passive safety and easy maintenance. Cabins come in two versions: single-row cabin and a cabin with a berth. The cabin with a second row of seats will also be available in some modifications.

Ural dumper is a multi-purpose vehicle to be used by utility service providers and at construction sites, as well as at large and small industrial enterprises. Various attachments can be placed on the chassis of this model. The total weight of single vehicles (without a trailer) amounts to 25 tons, which allows their use without exceeding the restrictions of technical regulations for loads on public roads. Effective operation of the vehicle is ensured by the YMZ-536 engine produced by the Yaroslavl Engine Plant with a power of 330 hp and a 9-speed gearbox. The engine is designed in accordance with the requirements of the Euro-5 emission standard.

The Ural tractor unit is intended for transportation of heavy cargoes at local and regional level. The total weight of the road train is 44 tons, which complies with the technical regulations for operation on the roads of the common network for this segment of vehicles. The design of the vehicle also provides the ability to operate at full weight up to 50 tons. The cabin has a sleeping module; the height of the cabin allows for comfortable accommodation of the driver and passengers. The engine of the tractor unit is YMZ-653 with a power of 422 hp, Euro-5 emission standard, and 16-speed gearbox.
