GAZ : presents Sobol 4x4 vehicles designed for travel and active recreation

GAZ Group exhibits Sobol 4x4 off-road vehicles designed for active recreation. Even with the standard trim level Sobol 4x4 has serious off-road features that allow the driver feel confident on rough terrain. This frame design off-road vehicle featuring a part-time all-wheel drive with a step-down gear, locking rear axle differential by Eaton, long suspension travel, high road clearance. The base trim level also includes a preheater and an extra interior heater.
The Sobol Car&Van Expedition vehicle is designed for travel in heavy off-road conditions. As a press car the vehicle covered the route of the Silk Way rally in 2016 and participated as a support vehicle in many stages of the Russian rally-raid championship. The front of the vehicle is protected with a reinforced bumper produced by Rif company featuring protection bars, a winch mounting pad and LED headlights. The reinforced rear bumper (also produced by Rif company) features spare wheel carriers, a towing device and additional lights. Special mounts on the spare wheel carriers allow transporting two 20 l fuel cans. The vehicle is fitted with reinforced running boards, an electric winch by Runva, LED spotlights and a satellite monitoring system by LocMe.

The second active recreation vehicle is based on Sobol GAZ-27527. The vehicle also features reinforced front and rear bumpers by Rif (with a tow bar and a spare wheel carrier), a winch by T-Max and reinforced running boards. The roof of the vehicle is fitted with an expedition rack that can be accessed from a ladder mounted on the rear door. The vehicle interior features convertible sofas that can accommodate five passengers while on the move. When the vehicle is parked the sofas can be unfolded to form a large sleeping space. An extra heater ensures a comfortable temperature during the cold season.

Both vehicles are powered by Cummins ISF 2.8 diesel engines.
