In the next instalment of our blog series exploring what life at GBG is like for our talented team across the globe, we catch up with Amy Liu, System Engineer based in Beijing, China.

I graduated from Tianjin Chengjian University in 2016, and started my first job as a junior engineer. I gained some really valuable experience at my first company, and learned lessons that will help me throughout my whole career.

During that time, I became aware of GBG and their reputation as a great place to work. I knew it was a team I'd like to be a part of, if a role became available.

I joined GBG last year as part of the system engineering team. I am primarily responsible for customer support and product development of three of our anti-fraud and compliance solutions,GBG Instinct ,GBG Process Manager and GBG Activate.

My daily workload is centred around the needs of our customers. It is very important our customers are satisfied and we are able to oblige to their demands as quickly as possible.

What I love most about my job is pleasing my customers and receiving their approval for all my hard work. Nothing beats it!

In order to do this, I must ensure I am always ahead of the game. Customers' needs can change in an instant because of potential social and economic changes. I am always ready to help support them with changes in environment.

I also spend time collaborating with colleagues on large scale projects for the business. These are really interesting because it is such an accomplishment to see my ideas come to life and all the hard work pay off.

If I had to sum up my job into a sentence it would be this: I help customers to realise and plan their visions for the future, and then turn these visions into a reality.

The positive working environment at GBG really helps me to complete my daily tasks. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere allows me to be proactive and easily manage my workload.

We're hiring! Check out our careers page or visit us on LinkedIn to see our current job openings.
