ANCHORAGE, Alaska - In response to Hurricane Willa making landfall along Mexico's gulf coast, GCI will waive all fees associated with voice calls and texts to the country through October 30.

'We know many of our worried customers will be trying to connect with family and friends in the wake of tragedy,' said Paul Landes, senior vice president, Consumer Services. 'GCI will ensure that our customers can check on friends and family in Mexico without having to be concerned about the cost.'

GCI customers can make voice calls and texts to Mexico free of charge through October 30.

Free service is for valid calls made from landlines and wireless devices. Customers may need to contact GCI to enable international dialing before calling or texting family in Mexico.

Customers with questions can contact GCI customer service representatives at 907-265-5400 or 800-800-4800 and can visit www.gci.com or www.facebook.com/GCIAK/ for updates on this policy.
