On Saturday May 12 La Stampa will be on the newsstands with new graphics and a new page format.

For the occasion there will be extra pages giving a total of 80 pages for the national edition plus for the North West the 32 pages of the local editions.

This is the first of the changes that will be made to all the GNN newspapers, which are headed by La Stampa.

As for the graphics, as well as the restyling La Stampa has decided to increase the font size of the main part of the articles to make them easier to read.

The new paper will have a first section devoted to current affairs with comment and analysis, followed by a double page with an innovative formula: 'Today in 7 news items', where 7 topics will be chosen not for further analysis like those on the previous pages, but they will in any case be considered of primary interest and importance. Each of these topics will be dealt with by one of the top journalists of La Stampa, who will sum it up in 30 lines.

After the economic and comment pages comes the innovation that changes the second part of the paper: a new section that reorganizes and increases the space devoted to culture, society and shows.

Changes will also be made to the special topic supplements that accompany the newspaper: alongside the traditional supplements such as Tuttosoldi (Money) on Mondays, Tuttolibri (Books) and 'Esercizi di stile' (Style) on Saturdays, and 'Montagna' (Mountains) on Sundays, on Wednesdays there will be a new Tuttoscienze (Science) now renamed as 'Tuttoscienze e innovazione' (Science and Innovation), on Thursdays there will be Tuttosalute,(Health) and on Fridays Tuttigusti (Food and Drink).

The traditional blue that is typical of La Stampa will remain, while the second part will be characterized by magenta red.
