EXTENSION OF THE PRODUCTION OF OIL FROM OLD WELLS AGREEMENT BETWEEN PT PERTAMINA EP AND PT SARANA PATRA JATENG DATED 3 NOVEMBER

The board of directors of Giken Sakata (S) Limited (the "Company") refers to the announcement dated
23 July 2014 in which it was stated that PT Pertamina EP had given a letter to PT Sarana Patra Jateng to extend the Agreement for Producing Oil from the Old Wells in the field of Tungkul and Trembul (the "Tungkul Mother Agreement") in the Province of Blora between PT Pertamina EP and PT Sarana Patra Jateng until 3 November 2020.
The Company wishes to announce that Dinas Energi Dan Sumber Daya Mineral (Department of Energy and Mineral Resources or "ESDM") has given official approval for the above letter dated 9 June 2014. As the ESDM letter provides the official confirmation of PT Pertamina EP's extension, the legal formalities for the extension is now complete.
As such, the Tungkul Mother Agreement dated 3 November 2010 is now extended to 3 November 2020. The extension of the Tungkul Mother Agreement will provide greater security and certainty in the output from these oil fields.
