Someone call Chili Palmer, because we got Shorty.

Nothing like a vague 90's movie reference to reinforce GoPro's astute marketing chops in the contemporary social media landscape, ya?

We won a Shorty Award, and there was a funny-ish movie back in the 90s called Get Shorty; ipso facto, we got Shorty, just like the main character played by John Travolta did back in '94.

Travolta references aside, the Shorty Awards honor the best of social media by recognizing the influencers, brands and organizations on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Musically and more. The Shorty Awards were the first awards to honor social media and remains the most prominent award show of its kind, engaging an online audience of millions and culminating in a blockbuster ceremony in New York City...and yes, we were there.

GoPro's Mike Maholias, Katie Marylander and Katie Babineau clean up nice.

GoPro snagged the Shorty for overall Instagram presence, and we are ecstatic!

As the world's most versatile camera, storytelling through a unique point-of-view is at the heart of GoPro. Every day we inspire, educate and stoke out our community of over 14.8M on Instagram with aspirational and inspirational content. In turn, we are constantly inspired by the millions of GoPro users out there creating and sharing their life experiences.
