Hangzhou HIK Vision Digital Technology Co. said Friday that its net profit for the first half of the year rose 9.7% to 4.62 billion yuan ($659.6 million).
Revenue for the period inched up 1.5% to CNY24.27 billion, the China-based surveillance-technology company said.
HIK Vision, which is banned by the U.S. from using American technology, said product upgrades and cost-control measures helped it achieve the stronger results, despite challenges brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.
