Medical Properties Trust Inc (MPT) said on Monday it agreed to buy 30 acute care hospital facilities in the UK for about 1.5 billion pounds.
The facilities are leased to affiliates of BMI Healthcare, a private operator of acute h
ospitals in the UK, healthcare-based real estate investment trust MPT saidhttps://reut.rs/2EMsckX in a statement.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020.
In a related transaction, affiliates of Circle Health, another U.K.-based hospital operator, will buy BMI.
