As communicated in a separate press release earlier today, the board of Hembla AB (publ) ("Hembla") has resolved to apply for delisting Hembla AB from Nasdaq Stockholm. As a delisted company, Hembla will continue its path to create vibrant communities with tenants in focus.

Hembla will continue to operate as an independent brand but with the full support of the business platform of the majority shareholder Vonovia. This will improve Hembla's ability to deliver on its strategy and realise synergies.

"We are well positioned for the future as a delisted company, maintaining the same business model and strategy. Hembla will benefit from Vonovia's know-how and experience, in the work to continuously improve Hembla's business and operations. I look forward to continuing the journey ahead.", says Svein Erik Lilleland, CEO of Hembla.

Early next year, Hembla will also see changes in the management team. Jonas Andersson (CFO/CIO) and Jenny Wärmé (Head of Legal & Corporate affairs) have both decided to leave their positions within Hembla for new opportunities.

"It is an understatement to say that Hembla would not have been what it is today without Jonas and Jenny. Both have been with the company in management positions from the beginning. Hembla has a strong platform that has been built over the years. I want to express my deep gratitude to Jonas and Jenny for their contribution to build a great company. I wish them both well in their future careers.", says Svein Erik Lilleland

"It has not been an easy decision to leave Hembla. The years with the company have been both rewarding and exciting. I am proud over what we have achieved - building one of the largest residential property companies in Sweden. I am leaving Hembla with a sense of pride and my only reason for leaving is because that a new exciting opportunity presented itself. I want to thank Svein Erik Lilleland for the fantastic cooperation we've had, his tenacity, and his relentless focus on our tenants.", says Jonas Andersson

"It is with mixed feelings that I have made this decision. I have had the opportunity to grow together with Hembla since the initial start of the company's history. It has been a fantastic journey. I am incredibly grateful for these past years and I am proud of where Hembla is today. With the tenant in focus and with a willingness to really do good in society. I also appreciate having the benefit of experiencing Svein Erik's leadership and enthusiasm. My motive for leaving Hembla has to do with a new upcoming and exiting project which I could simply not resist.", says Jenny Wärmé.

About Hembla

Hembla is a property company focusing on residential properties in the Greater Stockholm region and other growth areas. The company's business concept is to own property portfolios slated for a gradual renovation of apartments in conjunction with the natural turnover of tenants. This can take place quickly and cost-efficiently thanks to extensive experience from the company's renovation method which, among other things, means that no evacuation needs to take place. In addition to this, the company creates value through the development of building rights in existing portfolios. The market value of the company's properties amounted to SEK 33,508 million on 30 September 2019. The total rental value amounted to SEK 1,967 million annually on 30 September 2019. The economic occupancy rate is high - vacancies are virtually non-existent. Hembla is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
