The presentation of a new Test Lab of 1200 square meters, with 16 islands complete with machinery in operation, the illustration of new sales strategies for the international development of the group, the meeting between the most innovative technologies in the surface sector. These were the main innovations of the 'Open House - Test the Future' that Makor Group organized in its historical headquarters at Sinalunga to celebrate 50th years of activity.

'Open House - Test the Future', from Friday, September 28th to Sunday, September 30th, was an event organized both to celebrate the story of a company born in 1968 from the brilliant intuition of two businesspersons, Mario Ceccuzzi and Luigi Scaperrotta, and to create a meeting place between different entrepreneurship (suppliers, dealers, collaborators, customers) that form the vast Makor galaxy representing the finishing sector.

Three days that allowed touching the beating heart of the company's production. To know the future strategies of the group. The Tuscan company, a reality present in over fifty countries, has developed - as pointed out by Ing. Carlo Dolciami, describing the marketing strategies - a sales network mainly based on the HOMAG one, but completed with important 'historical' collaborations of other dealers.

This broad strategy has allowed Makor to be more and more a global Finishing supplier. In particular, the Sinalunga group will focus on an 'audience' - explained Dolciami - 'which will go from entry-level to complex systems, from the small customer to the big industry'.

Makor will concentrate its efforts in various sectors: from small craft companies, to bring them to the use of finishing machines, to that of robotic systems in spraying to guarantee a quality finish; from the new digital printing processes, also thanks to the cooperation with Projecta (which will allow Makor to face the problem of a complete line for printing panels, profiles and edges), to expand the range, even thanks to the collaboration with Tomanin; from the edge coating, where the latest development with spray application completes the offer in this field (roller-vacuum-spray), to the development of technologies for glass processing.

Moreover, this renewed projection of development corresponded to the news at the stock level that involved the company about a year ago. In fact, in 2017, the Ceccuzzi family purchased the share of Makor Group in the hands of the Scaperrotta family, now reaching 100% of the ownership.

'Our commitment to the growth of the company - said the CEO of the group, Simone Ceccuzzi - will be based on three pillars: internationalization, innovation, professionalism. Makor Group will accentuate its natural vocation to export (today 95% of turnover comes from abroad). We want to be more and more a global supplier of finishing. The expansion of our research and test laboratory demonstrates Makor's desire to focus on product and process research. We strongly believe in the development of robotics, not only to increase the technology of the single machine, but also to allow the machines to communicate to each other, read the data, make the most of its potential. Finally we will continue to invest also on the professionalism and skills of our employees, an essential part of this development strategy'.
