HomeServe USA, a leading provider of home repair solutions, launched its next request for applications for the HomeServe Cares Foundation “Caring for Community” grant program. The initiative awards grants to non-profits and municipalities to support community-based programs. For this fourth round of the program, HomeServe is looking for projects focused on enhancing local parks and community centers. The emphasis of these projects should be in one or more of the following areas:

  • Upgrades to existing facilities to accommodate residents with disabilities.
  • Refurbishment or replacement of equipment and facilities to ensure the safety of visitors.
  • Improvements to community centers or spaces aimed at inclusion and/or resident engagement.
  • Establishment of new projects aimed at uniting communities through shared spaces.

Two grants valued at up to $20,000 each will be awarded. Applications, which are now being accepted and are due by March 24, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. ET, will be assessed based on impact, execution and innovation. Winners will be announced on or before March 31, 2020. All projects must be substantially underway by June 30, 2020. Additional information and applications are available at www.HomeServeCommunity.com.

“Cities and towns thrive when there are common spaces where residents can gather with family and friends. These spaces make a community feel like home, and it’s HomeServe’s privilege to help foster a greater sense of community across the country by supporting projects focused on these important communal spaces,” explained John Kitzie, CEO of HomeServe USA.

Since launching the Caring for Community grant program in April 2019, the HomeServe Cares Foundation has awarded nine grants to organizations across the U.S. The most recent round of grants was awarded to non-profits in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Louisville, Kentucky, whose efforts focused on improving the quality of life for veterans and their families. Details about the HomeServe Cares Foundation are available on www.HomeServeCaresFoundation.com.
