The Asset and Property Manager IC Immobilien Gruppe concluded and facilitated commercial real estate deals totalling €670 million for its clients during the fiscal year 2014, including a mixed-use residential and commercial property with approximately 23,000 square meters of lettable space in Troisdorf near Cologne. Among the company's clients are national and international investors, insurance companies, banks and foundations. IC carries out the sale and acquisition of real estate on behalf of its clients, as well as overseeing every stage of the sale and purchase process. "We have once again been awarded mandates by many of our clients", says Marc Balkenhol, Executive Board Member of IC Immobilien Gruppe. "In addition, we have been able to attract a number of prestigious new clients."

Around 130 new commercial lettings by IC Immobilien Gruppe in 2014

Around 130 commercial spaces were let in 2014. There were approximately 200 renewals of existing leases. Lettings during the previous year included a number of the largest commercial lettings in Germany, primarly the letting of the former Niketown property which was standing vacant on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm, along with 5,400 square meters of logistics and office space in Kerpen-Türnich and approximately 10,200 square meters at a retail park in Celle that has been let on a long-term basis to the hagebau home improvement chain.

New mandate for international investment company

The group was awarded a further sizeable mandate at the end of 2014: IC will represent an internationally active investment company in the purchase of real estate in Germany. IC will analyze the market, select the real estate, organize the acquisition process and manage the properties. "We are specially identifying office, hotel and retail real estate in Germany's Top 7 markets for our client", explains Balkenhol. "We are also analyzing how the properties can be optimized to secure long-term and sustainable increases in the value of the real estate." In addition to selecting the properties and organizing their purchase, IC will be responsible for the Asset and Property Management of the acquired real estate.
