ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a single-award blanket purchase agreement (BPA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support biomedical and clinical information services. The BPA, a re-compete contract, has a ceiling of $100 million and a term of five years.

Under this agreement, ICF will continue to provide support for biomedical, health, and disaster information management services, such as data collection and analysis, information dissemination, and outreach initiatives for multiple NIH Institutes and Centers, including the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), and other NIH partner agencies within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In addition, the company will support key programs related to HIV/AIDS, genetics, cancer, rare diseases, clinical trials, and other federal health initiatives.

"We are proud to be selected to continue our support to NIH,” said Matthew Perry, senior vice president for ICF International. “This award highlights ICF’s strength to blend our strong health subject matter expertise with innovative technology support to provide engaging information services that provide NIH and HHS clients with high-quality and highly efficient solutions.”

“ICF has a long and successful history supporting U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and NIH programs through both strong subject matter expertise and the innovative use of information technology,” said Ellen Glover, executive vice president for ICF International. “We are committed to employing the right combination of systems, services, personnel and management agility to address the dynamic needs of NLM, NCI, NHLBI, NCATS as well as other NIH partner agencies and to assist them in achieving their goals.”

The award is part of ICF’s growing portfolio of large health informatics programs, which include existing projects at NIH and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
