Announcement of Changes in Officerｓ

Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. hereby announces that at the board meeting held on May 15, 2018, it informally approved changes in candidate for audit & supervisory board member, as follows. Note that the following is pending approval at the 103rd annual general meeting of shareholders and the subsequent board meeting planned for June 28, 2018.

Furthermore, there is no personnel transfer regarding the Representative Directors and Managing Directors.

１．Background

We will promote the business strategy in Fifth Consolidated Medium-term Management Plan and further strengthen governance.

2. New Candidate for Officer

Audit & Supervisory Board Member： Toshiyuki Tanida

（currently Executive Officer and General Manager of Logistics Department）

３．Officer Planning to Retire

Audit & Supervisory Board Member: Takａnori Kuniyasu

4. Effective Date of these Changes (Planned)

June 28, 2018(expected date of the 103rd annual general meeting of shareholders)
