Free Mobile call plan - automatic access to the biggest Wi-Fi network in France on your smartphone with EAP-SIM technology

Three months after launching its mobile offering, Free continues to innovate. The Free call plan (€15.99/month for Freebox subscribers or €19.99/month for all other customers) now includes unlimited automatic mobile Internet access on Free's community WiFi network, FreeWiFi Secure.
Leveraging its full IP 3G network and its technological edge, Free Mobile is the first operator to offer this service to its Free call plan subscribers, enabling smartphones to switch automatically from a 3G connection to the Free WiFi community, which includes more than 4 million hotspots.
Free call plan subscribers connected to FreeWiFi Secure get unlimited Internet access, without this data consumption counting against their 3 GB fair-use limit. In addition to this, the service considerably improves indoor data coverage, in particular in dense zones.
This service uses the EAP-SIM authentication protocol and is fully secure. Subscribers connect automatically to the community WiFi network using a dedicated, personal IP address. The SIM card takes care of authentication, so users do not need to enter an identifier to connect to the community network.
Subscribers can make unlimited use of the numerous functions made available by Free but rarely offered by other mobile operators, such as genuine Internet access from a mobile telephone, i.e. access with no usage restrictions (VoIP, newsgroup, FTP, etc.).
This new service epitomises the technological edge afforded by the Free Mobile network.
