Jena, Germany, February 14, 2012 - Leading e-commerce software and services provider, Intershop, has today named Javelin Group, Europe's leading e-commerce and multi-channel retail consultancy and systems integrator as a Platinum Partner. Providing UK retailers, brands and distributors with world-class e-commerce websites, the partnership also places Intershop amongst Javelin Group's premier retailers; including the top 10 in the UK, many large retailers and B2B enterprises across mainland Europe.

Focused on providing retailers with Javelin Group's systems integration service expertise, the partnership ensures these customers are receiving Intershop's best practice implementation for a website that maximises profits. Retailers can expect that working alongside Javelin Group and Intershop will provide their customers with a best of breed e-commerce platform for ease of shopping and purchasing.

Dr. Ludger Vogt, member at the board of management at Intershop said, "When selecting their e-commerce platform retailers might not know the extent of solutions available for their web presence, but also throughout their entire commerce solution. Javelin Group is able to provide retailers with the expertise harnessed through advising top UK retailers and gained during extensive implementation projects. This partnership recognises Intershop's e-commerce software and services as one of the major players in the UK and wider European market. Javelin Group will now be well placed to both advise and implement projects on Intershop's behalf using both businesses' expertise."

Intershop has recently announced the upcoming launch of Intershop 7, its next-generation software for agile cross-channel commerce. With 1,500 features for enhanced efficiency and a unique shopping experience, the e-commerce platform provides competitive edge with benchmark-setting marketing functionality.

Fraser Davidson, director of technology services at Javelin Group said, "Our partnership results from Intershop's impressive ethos of combining a first class e-commerce platform with our specialist expertise. Favoured by B2C and B2B retailers of all sizes, this ethos future proofs their organisations against dynamic and changing demands of customers, technology and markets."

This partnership will extend Javelin Group's position as it advises clients on platform selection, strategy and providing platform implementations. The Group is currently expanding to provide both consultancy and development services in many European countries particularly Germany which has a large Intershop presence.
