(Preliminary Report)
Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) (TSE: 2914) announced today a preliminary report of the Company's Japanese domestic cigarette sales results for December 2019.

60.4% for January - December 2019 (61.4% for January- December 2018)
*2: JT Cigarette Sales Volume, Japanese Domestic Cigarette Revenue and JT's cigarette market share include the estimated volume of Little Cigars and so the previous year's results are restated accordingly.
The above figures are preliminarily reported on a management basis.
An announcement of the consolidated financial results is scheduled on February 6, 2020. The announcement includes the Japanese Domestic Tobacco Business performance for January - December FY2019.
Lastly, JT will terminate its monthly disclosure of the Company's Japanese domestic cigarette sales results, due to the fluctuation caused by new product releases and amendments of product retail prices does not reflect the market trends. The company will disclose the results quarterly from FY2020 onwards.

- development of pharmaceutical products (3.5%): primarily for dyslipidemia, osteoporosis and Hepatitis C treatment;
- other (0.1%).
68.5% of net sales are abroad.
