Jamie Dimon, the 63-year-old CEO of JPMorgan Chase, casually dropped by the Mt. Kisco, N.Y., Chase branch, surprising staffers and congratulating them on keeping the branch open during the pandemic, according to an article in the New York Post. Wearing a face mask, Dimon discussed a variety of topics with staff from his emergency heart surgery in early March prior to the pandemic, to how clients, the branch and the staff had dealt with COVID-19.

At one point during the discussion, Dimon and five other staff members posed for a photo by dropping to one knee in front of the bank vault as five other staffers stood behind them. Chase did not comment on whether the impromptu photo was a show of support for the protests following the death of George Floyd, although Dimon did release a memo to staff last week in support of the protests.

In the memo to Chase staff, Dimon wrote, "Let us be clear — we are watching, listening and want every single on of you to know we are committed to fighting against racism and discrimination wherever and however it exists."
