North Carolina Virtual Academy (NCVA), an online public charter school authorized by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, is accepting enrollment applications for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. NCVA is open to students statewide in kindergarten through 12th grade and is available tuition-free.

At NCVA, students receive the personalized support they need to pursue and reach their academic goals. The school combines online instruction, rigorous curriculum and the support of North Carolina-licensed teachers to provide a unique learning experience for each student.

From monitoring students’ progress to ensuring content mastery, we give each and every student the resources to reach their full potential.”

Students at NCVA are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, English language arts, history, art and music. Electives include world languages, high school honors and Advanced Placement® courses. Students and families communicate regularly with teachers via phone, email and one-to-one virtual meetings. NCVA also offers the Career & College Promise program for students who want to earn college credits in addition to a high school diploma.

Outside of the online classroom, NCVA offers students virtual clubs and in-person field trips, community service opportunities and social gatherings to foster a sense of school community, virtual tutoring for families, including in-person National Honor Society events and a graduation ceremony in the spring.
