Jakarta, 23 August 2017 - Kalbe Group through its subsidiary PT. Bintang Toedjoe that produces Extra Joss once again holds the Qurban (animal sacrifice offering) event for the Eid'l Hajj day of 1438 H. As last year's, the disbursement of the sacrificial offering is done in partnership with two largest Alms Committee in Indonesia, the NU Care Lazisnu (Nahdlatul Ulama's Zakat, Infaq, and Shodaqoh Institute), and Lazismu (Muhammadiyah's Zakat, Infaq and Shodaqoh Institute). The partnership takes the form of the gift of 2 Limousine Cows weighting one ton each and supporting the equipment required for the sacrificial rituals at 1,700 mosques all over Indonesia. Furthermore, Extra Joss also provided operational support for NU Care - Lazisnu and Lazismu, in the amount of Rp 100 million each and provided free drinks at 1,700 mosques throughout Indonesia. The gifts of Limousine Cow and operational fund for NU Care-Lazisnu and Lazismu are handed by Simon Jonatan, President Director of PT Bintang Toedjoe, at the Headquarters of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama in Central Jakarta.

'Extra Joss is committed each year to perform the Qurban together, because this is a strategic step to build the sense of togetherness,' said Simon Jonatan, President Director of PT Bintang Toedjoe. 'This year is the second time NU Care-Lazisnu and Lazismu conduct a sacrificial offering together, and thus Extra Joss provides full support on the positive effort,' Simon continued.

'We truly welcome the efforts conducted by Extra Joss, because we believe that through sacrifices, we can remind and implore the congregation to side-by-side provide the best for each other,' said Syamsul Huda, Director of NU Care-Lazisnu.

'For year 2017, the donation for NU Care-Lazisnu & Lazismu operations as well as the delivery of the sacrificial animal is expected to present more benefit not just for NU-Care Lazisnu and Lazismu, but also to the recipients of the offering,' said Simon Jonatan.

This year's theme of sacrifice is 'Men Never Stop Qurban,' where Extra Joss implored the young to never stop providing sacrifice offering because sacrifice is a form of religious devotion.

The token relinquishment of the sacrificial offering is attended by Rio Dewanto, Brain Ambassador of Extra Joss and actor. 'I have massive appreciation of the sacrificial offering, because it is a positive activity. Hopefully this can encourage other companies to follow Extra Joss' steps,' Rio concluded.
