On Wednesday, 18 January 2017 The Chairperson of the Food and Drugs Monitoring Body, Mrs. Dr. Ir. Penny Kusumastuti Lukito, MCP and her entourage to observe the development of PT Kalbio Global Medika's biosimilar factory that is located in Cikarang. The entourage of the Chairperson of BPOM was accepted by Ms. Irawati Setiady, President Director of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk and the members of the Board of Directors and Management.
At the same time, the Chairperson of BPOM and her entourage also visited the powdered milk factory of PT Sahngiang Perkasa and PT Kalbe Morinaga Indonesia in Cikampek.
PT Kalbio Global Medika (KGM) is one of the subsidiaries of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk that is focused on biosimilar medication products. At present PT Kalbio Global Medika is at its final stages in the development of the biosimilar factory with the most advanced technology and is also preparing the CPOB certification from BPOM by the start of 2017.
Aside of its ready-to-use product, PT Kalbio Global Medika also produces medicinal ingredients for Biological products in the purpose of supporting the government program of fulfilling medicinal ingredients that is domestically produced. This will surely control the domestic medicinal production costs.
