HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), meets with Prime Minister Samaras of Greece in Athens on Thursday 22nd August 2013 during His Royal Highness visit to Greece.
During the meeting Prince Alwaleed and Mr. Samaras discussed the warm friendship between Saudi Arabia and Greece and referred to a number of economic and social issues. The meeting also touched upon the latest economic developments.
Moreover, Prince Alwaleed and Mr. Samaras discussed investments in Greece. The Greek Prime Minister said his country welcomes the Prince to further invest in Greece, especially in the hospitality sector.
Furthermore, Mr. Samaras commended the Prince on his efforts on the business front, describing His Highness as one of the largest and most influential global investors, and commended him on his global philanthropic support.
Prince Alwaleed's indirect investments in Greece through KHC include Citigroup in the financial sector and Movenpick in the hotels sector.
