Associates from the #PrideAtKohls Business Resource Group (BRG) teamed up with nonprofit Courage MKE to create a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ youth to call home.

At Kohl's, we work to create a welcoming environment for all our associates, and we are proud to foster an inclusive workplace where every associate feels that they can bring their whole selves to work each day. Our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) were created to amplify the voices of our workplace, celebrate diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and drive efforts across our business and culture.

In celebration of Pride Month in June, we are honored to showcase the positive impact that the #PrideAtKohls BRG is creating at Kohl's and in our community, through their support of a local community partner, Courage MKE.

Courage MKE strives to combat the growing issue of LGBTQ+ youth homelessness in Milwaukee. Our #PrideAtKohls BRG is passionate about Courage MKE's mission, and over the years has built a strong partnership with the organization.

Through Kohl's Volunteer Program, our associates recently devoted nearly 400 hours to assist Courage MKE in opening the Courage House, a home where displaced LGBTQ+ youth can feel respected and valued for who they are receive resources and support they need. Kohl's also donated $10,000 in grants to Courage MKE, in recognition of associate volunteer efforts, that were invested back into the Courage House mission.

Watch the heartwarming video below to see how Courage MKE and Kohl's associates came together to build Courage House on a foundation of love and acceptance.
