Summary
Schindellegi / CH, April 9, 2020 - This year's Annual General Meeting of Kuehne + Nagel International AG will take place as scheduled on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Schindellegi. In accordance with Ordinance 2 of the Swiss Federal Council to combat the Coronavirus, personal participation of shareholders is unfortunately not possible. However, shareholders have the option of authorising and instructing the independent proxy in advance. Details can be found in the forthcoming invitation to the Annual General Meeting (see 'downloads').
Due to the uncertainties surrounding the further development of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current economic environment, the Board of Directors will propose to the Annual General Meeting 2020 to carry forward the retained earnings for the period ending December 31, 2019 to new account and not to resolve a dividend at this Annual General Meeting. Kuehne + Nagel thus further strengthens an already robust level of liquidity, adding support to the company's overall financial position in view of the uncertainties stemming from the present crisis.
The Board of Directors continuously reviews the development of the global economic situation and Kuehne + Nagel's business performance. Should the business environment normalise over the course of the year, the Board of Directors may contemplate to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting in the second half of the year to resolve on a distribution of a dividend payment.
