Lansdowne Oil & Gas PLC is an independent oil and gas exploration company. The Company is focused on oil and gas exploration and appraisal opportunities in the North Celtic Sea Basin (NCSB) offshore southern Ireland. The Company has targeted the Irish offshore shelf areas close to existing operating infrastructure for exploration, as these provide shallow water (generally less than 100 meters). The Company explore and develop its licensed areas in the North Celtic Sea basin, off the south coast of Ireland. Its Helvick Field is situated approximately 40 kilometers (km) offshore Ireland in c. 80m (265ft) water depth. The license 1/11 (Barryroe) incorporates part blocks 48/22,48/23, 48/24,48/27,48/28,48/29 and 48/30; covering an area of 614 square kilometers. and lying along the axis of the North Celtic Sea Basin. The Barryroe License is held by Lansdowne Celtic Sea Limited (20%), a 100% subsidiary of the Company, and EXOLA DAC (80%), a 100% subsidiary of Providence Resources P.l.c.
