The Telenet TV box was installed in 20,000 homes in a test phase that started in August last year. From today it will be gradually rolled out further. The TV box has a totally revamped look and feel, and includes several innovative features.

The new remote control with voice capabilities allows customers to control the box or search for things to watch just by speaking into the remote, offering an easier and more intuitive way of getting access to features and content.

Recorded programmes are now stored in the cloud which eliminates the need for a built-in hard drive. The integration of apps also lets customers watch Netflix or YouTube over the box without requiring Apple TV or Chromecast. The box also supports 4K and HDR.

The TV box comes with a new application and website: the Telenet TV app and www.telenettv.be. The built-in casting option allows customers to simply transmit all the content of the app to a second TV set - where they can view live and watch all recorded programs on a second large screen.

The launch of Horizon 4 in Belgium follows a similar roll-out in Switzerland in 2018, with further launches across the Liberty Global footprint to come.
