Linde Receives 2019 Silver Class Sustainability Distinction from RobecoSAM
Guildford, UK, 9 April 2019 - Linde (NYSE: LIN; FWB: LIN) has been awarded a Silver Class distinction in SAM's Sustainability Yearbook 2019. The company was one of six in the chemical sector recognized with a distinction and the only Silver Class medalist.
The Sustainability Yearbook is launched by SAM, the unit of RobecoSAM which specializes in providing ESG data, ratings, and benchmarking, and is the world's most comprehensive publication on corporate sustainability. Results are based on the 2018 Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which assessed more than 2,500 companies across 60 industries, awarding recognition to 458 organizations from 36 countries.
This distinction is Linde's first recognition since the close of the merger between Linde AG and Praxair, Inc. Both legacy companies have received recognition for their sustainability performance through recurring inclusion on the World Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
