LUCAPA DIAMOND : REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

Lucapa Diamond Company Limited (ASX: LOM) (the Company) requests a trading halt to be placed on the Company's securities effective immediately pending the announcement of a capital raising to advance the Lulo kimberlite exploration program.

The Company requests the securities remain in a trading halt until the earlier of the announcement to the market or the commencement of trade on Monday 2 March 2020. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.

Lucapa Diamond Company Limited is an Australia-based diamond miner and explorer with assets across Africa and Australia. The Company owns approximately 40% interest in Lulo Mine (Lulo Diamond Project) and approximately 70% interest in Mothae Kimberlite Mine (Mothae Kimberlite Project). The Company also owns Merlin Diamond Project, which encompasses two tenements consisting of an approximately 24 square kilometers (km2) mineral lease and a 210 km2 exploration license, which encompasses the mineral lease. The mineral lease contains 11 previously discovered kimberlite pipes in three clusters namely North, Centre and South. Its Lulo Diamond Project is an approximately 3,000 km2 concession in Angola's Lunda Norte diamond heartland, approximately 630 kilometers (km) east of the Angolan capital of Luanda. The Mothae Kimberlite Project is located in the Kingdom of Lesotho, which is surrounded by South Africa.
