Lufthansa Group (formerly Deutsche Lufthansa) is one the world's largest airline company. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- air transportation (75%): 130 million passengers transported in 2017;
- maintenance and leasing services (10%): repairs, maintenance, and leasing of aircraft, engines, and airline equipment;
- on-board catering services (7.2%);
- logistic services (7%);
- other (0.8%).
At the end of 2017, the group had a fleet of 728 aircrafts broken down between Lufthansa German Airline (357), Eurowings (136), Swiss (91), Austrian Airlines (83), Brussels Airlines (44) and Lufthansa Cargo (17).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Europe (61.6%), North America (18.1%), Asia-Pacific (12.8%), Central and South America (2.8%), Middle East (2.7%) and Africa (2%).
