The Supervisory Board thanked Drees for his excellent work over the last five years, noting that the product portfolio was well-positioned and had been successfully established on the market. The Supervisory Board added that the new truck generation in particular was very well received by the customers. With Dr. Andreas Tostmann, MAN SE would have a proven production expert with many years of experience in the Volkswagen Group at the helm.

Joachim Drees initiated a sustainable change process at MAN and drove it forward during his five years as CEO of MAN. The product portfolio was completely revised in a short period of time and successfully launched. The company's successful entry into the era of electromobility also is attributable to Joachim Drees' commitment. He thus positioned the company for the future. Furthermore, as CEO of MAN he played a leading role during the IPO of TRATON SE.
