The Rochdale Mayor, Councillor Billy Sheerin, joined retirees in Bamford, Rochdale to celebrate the grand opening of McCarthy and Stone's new Retirement Living development, Butterworth Grange.

Councillor Sheerin and retirees were given a tour of the professionally-styled show complex, as well as a chance to take a closer look at the contemporary homeowners' lounge and guest suite - all whilst enjoying a glass of fizz and canapes. Throughout the day, the McCarthy and Stone sales team were on-hand to answer any questions, and to advise on how they can make moving to Butterworth Grange even easier.

Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone North West, said: 'We're absolutely delighted to officially open our fabulous development in Bamford, Rochdale. Our easy to maintain, luxurious apartments allow homeowners to enjoy their independence, with the added benefit of communal areas for socialising with neighbours.

'We would like to say a huge thank you to Councillor Sheerin for joining us to celebrate the opening of the development. We would encourage anyone over the age of 60 who is considering downsizing to take a look at the development themselves, they won't be disappointed!'

Butterworth Grange features a homeowners' lounge, ideal for enjoying a catch-up with friends and neighbours; beautifully landscaped gardens, which are fully maintained by McCarthy and Stone's expert team; and a guest suite, which is available for when family members and friends come to stay. For added peace-of-mind, a House Manager is on hand to take care of the smooth-running of the development, and there is 24 hour emergency call system should assistance be needed day or night.

Prices at Butterworth Grange currently start from £164,999 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £259,999 for a two-bedroom apartment. With apartments at Butterworth Grange selling quickly, interested retirees are encouraged to get in touch with a member of the sales team as soon as possible.

Bamford is a sought-after suburb of Greater Manchester, located in close proximity to Rochdale and Bury with excellent public transport connections. A wealth of local amenities and the stunning Peak District National Park a short distance away offer plenty of options for future homeowners to enjoy when heading out. The village also has a number of sports including cricket, bowls and tennis, all within walking distance of the development.

Furthermore, in August/September there has never been a better time to move using Part Exchange Scheme or Smooth Move. The Part Exchange process allows McCarthy and Stone to buy a homeowner's existing property when they purchase a McCarthy and Stone property, removing estate agents' fees and making the process simpler.

As part of the Smooth Move package, McCarthy and Stone will contribute £2,500 when an existing property is sold using one of the company's recommended selling agent, as well as contributing £1,000 towards legal fees when using a preferred McCarthy and Stone independent solicitor.
